About Dayton Hunger Fighters

At Dayton Hunger Fighters, we are dedicated to raising awareness about veterans in the Greater Dayton area who suffer from food insecurity and are working to ensure that those who fought for our freedoms are free from hunger.

Our team is comprised of students and professionals who are passionate about helping feed veterans who hunger. We believe that no man or woman who has fought for our freedom should ever be hungry, especially in a city named for a veteran of the Continental Army and signer the US Constitution. We honor the memory of Jonathan Dayton by providing food for men and women who have 

served our country.

We conduct bi-annual food drives during the months of May (Military Appreciation Month) and November (National Veterans and Military Families Month) at local schools, churches, businesses and VFW Posts.  All non-perishable food collected is donated to the Veterans Administration to be distributed to area veterans.
